We knit this lightweight pullover in warm Nutmeg with a turn-down polo collar and an extended button placket. The H-line cut hangs loose and straight away from the torso, extending well down past the hips. It gives you an open neckline when unfastened, finished with plain ribbing at the long cuffs and lower edge.

What we would tell you in the studio
- Adjustable polo neckline. The flat-lay collar pairs with a row of buttons down the front. You can fasten them high to frame the throat or unbutton the placket into an open V-neck that lays flat against the collarbone.
- Straight H-line cut. The body is knitted with a generous, straight fall from the shoulders through the hem. It sits away from the waist rather than clinging, creating a relaxed drape that slips over trousers, denim, or midi skirts.
- Clean ribbed trims. We finished the long sleeves and hem with fine gauge ribbing without extra buttons or trims. The cuffs hold gently at the wrists, allowing you to push the sleeves up without stretching out the knit.
- Yarn and laundering. The lightweight yarn blend provides gentle warmth with substantial stretch. Wash this piece inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle, then lay it flat on a drying rack to keep the collar and hem in shape.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
