What we would tell you in the studio
- High neck and cut. The raised neckline stands close around the neck while the front panels fall straight down. A roomy body lets the piece drape without clinging to shirts or light knitwear underneath.
- Sleeve and shoulder line. We dropped the shoulder seams low on the arm to soften the silhouette. Full-length sleeves give you full wrist coverage and allow room for long-sleeve layers underneath.
- Pocket details. Two functional side pockets are knit directly into the side seams. They sit deep enough to carry small personal items without weighing the cardigan down or pulling at the front opening.
- Yarn care. Wash by hand in cold water with a gentle detergent or run a cold gentle machine cycle. Reshape the knit while damp and lay it flat to dry to keep the shape intact.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
