What we would tell you in the studio
- Mid-weight gauge. The knit has enough body to hold its straight drop down the front panels without clinging. It feels smooth against bare skin and packs flat without deep creasing.
- Drop shoulder cut. We set the armholes low to keep the chest roomy. The long sleeves taper slightly toward the wrists so you can push them up when working.
- Deep side pockets. Two inset pockets sit flat at the sides to hold keys or a phone. Because the knit has some weight, the pockets do not drag the front panels forward.
- Cold water wash. Hand wash or run this piece on a gentle machine cycle with cold water and mild soap. Lay it flat on a dry towel so the long body keeps its shape.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
