What we would tell you in the studio

  • Shoulder button detail. A row of buttons sits along the shoulder line, giving structure to the upper seam while the crew neck rests flat against the collarbone without stretching out.
  • Fine gauge knit. The fabric is light and smooth to the touch, with enough built-in give to move easily through the arms and shoulders without losing its original shape over a full day.
  • Cropped straight hem. We cut the body straight through the torso and finish it with a shorter hemline. It rests above the hip line rather than bunching around the waist when worn untucked.
  • Care and drying. Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water and lay flat on a towel to dry. Hanging this lightweight knit while damp will pull the shoulder line out of shape.

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
