What we would tell you in the studio

  • Shoulder button detail. We set a row of neat buttons across the shoulder line to break up the plain knit surface. They sit flat against the seam without pulling the crew neck out of shape.
  • Straight cropped cut. The body falls straight from the underarm to a cropped hemline. It rests above the hip rather than billowing out or gripping around the waist, making it easy to wear untucked.
  • Fine-gauge stretch yarn. The knit is smooth and lightweight with enough give to recover its shape after a day of wear. It feels soft directly against the skin and slides under jackets without bunching.
  • Cold wash and flat dry. Wash this piece on a gentle cycle in cold water with similar shades. Lay it flat on a drying rack rather than hanging it up, which keeps the shoulder seams and buttons in place.
