Womens Lounge Set Two 2 Piece

We knit this two-piece set in a soft, smooth yarn with a relaxed cut throughout. The top features short raglan sleeves and a plain crew neck, while the wide-leg pants pull on with an elastic waist. Contrast piping outlines the seams across both pieces to keep the set cohesive.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew neck and raglan sleeve. The top is built with a round crew neckline and raglan seams that leave plenty of room through the shoulders. Ribbed trims finish the collar and the short sleeve openings so they keep their shape.
  • Wide-leg knit trousers. The bottoms sit on a flexible elastic waistband and fall straight down in a wide leg. The knit has enough weight to drop cleanly without clinging to the legs.
  • Contrast piped seams. We edge the seams and hems with fine contrast piping. It defines the geometry of the top and the long line of the trousers, connecting the two pieces dyed in this soft pink shade.
  • Washing and knit care. Hand wash in cold water or run on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Skip the bleach. Lay both pieces flat on a clean towel to dry so the knit does not stretch out.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
