Womens Lounge Set Two 2 Piece

We knit both pieces of this set together in matching tan yarn. The top has a rounded crew neckline and a loose body that clears the waist, while the pull-on trousers fall straight through the leg. Fine contrast piping traces the seams and hems throughout.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crewneck and sleeves. The top is built with a simple crew neckline and raglan seams that drop smoothly off the shoulder. Ribbed trim finishes the sleeve cuffs and keeps the loose shape sitting tidy against the wrist.
  • Matching trouser waist. We knit the wide-leg bottoms with a flexible pull-on waistband that sits flat without fasteners. The knit has enough weight to drop straight to the hem without clinging as you walk.
  • Tan yarn and piping. Knitted in a smooth tan blend, both pieces share the same dye lot for an exact match. Thin contrast piping runs along the outer seams to define the edges of the top and trousers.
  • Washing and care. Hand wash in cold water or run on a gentle machine cycle with mild detergent. Lay both pieces flat on a clean towel to dry so the knit retains its original length and shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
