What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crewneck and crop. The top is cut with a simple round crew neckline and a wide body that hangs loose. Its short hem clears the waistband of the matching shorts, creating a boxy profile with room to move.
  • Long sleeves. Full-length sleeves balance the short bottom half. The knit drops slightly past the shoulder line, giving the arms a relaxed hang without pulling across the back during regular movement.
  • Drawstring knit shorts. The shorts pull on over an elasticated waistband secured with a knitted drawstring. They sit straight through the leg, matching the dye lot and soft stretch of the top exactly.
  • Cold wash care. Machine wash the set in cold water with similar dark tones. Tumble dry on a low heat setting to preserve the elastic waist and the shape of the jersey knit.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
