Womens Lounge Two 2 Piece Short Sets Summer Outfits

We knit this two-piece lounge set in dark khaki as a balanced pair. The top is cut with a roomy body, long sleeves, and a clean crew neck, while the matching shorts pull on with an adjustable drawstring waist. The fabric has plenty of give and hangs away from the skin.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Roomy crew top. The pullover features a classic round crewneck and long sleeves. It sits wide through the torso and finishes with a cropped hem line that clears the waistband of the matching shorts.
  • Drawstring short waist. We built the shorts with an elasticated waistband threaded with a functional matching drawstring. The legs are cut wide through the thigh to keep movement easy and avoid clinging.
  • Dark khaki dye. Both pieces come from the same dye lot to ensure the dark khaki tone matches across the pair. The muted green-brown shade works well together or split apart with pale cotton basics.
  • Wash and care. Machine wash cold with like colors to protect the surface and tone of the knit. Tumble dry on low heat or lay the pieces flat to preserve their shape over repeated wear.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
