What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crewneck top and sleeve. The long sleeves finish with simple cuffs that balance the wide, roomy body. A classic round crew neck keeps the collar flat without pinching against the throat.
  • Short cropped hem. We cut the top hem higher so it lands clear of the waistband. This keeps the knit from bunching up over the shorts when you sit or walk.
  • Drawstring knit shorts. The matching blue shorts use an adjustable waist tie knitted from the same yarn lot. They hang straight down the leg with enough room to move easily.
  • Washing and care. Machine wash cold with like colors to keep the blue tone clear and steady. Tumble dry on a low heat cycle and reshape the waistband while damp.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
