What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck and buttons. The neckline is finished with a flat round band that lies smooth against the collarbone. Tonal buttons run down the center, spaced to close without pulling or gaping when fastened.
- Sleeve and cropped hem. Short sleeves leave the forearms free, while the cropped length cuts straight across at the natural waist. The lower ribbing stays neat rather than gripping tight.
- Fine gauge royal blue. We use a lightweight yarn with natural spring that resists wrinkling when packed. The deep royal blue dye takes evenly across the smooth face of the knit.
- Care for the yarn. Wash gently by hand in cold water or dry clean to protect the stitch structure. Press out excess moisture in a towel and dry flat away from direct heat.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
