What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck closure. A clean round neckline fastens with dyed-to-match buttons right up to the collar. You can wear it fully closed as a light top or leave it unbuttoned over a base layer.
- Cropped straight hem. The bottom hem is cut short and runs straight across the waist. Because it avoids extra fabric at the lower edge, it sits cleanly over high-rise trousers and slip dresses.
- Lightweight knit gauge. We chose a fine, flexible knit that packs down small and resists heavy creasing. The yarn feels smooth against bare skin and provides a light layer when indoor temperatures drop.
- Care and handling. Hand wash gently in cold water or dry clean to protect the stitch definition. Press excess moisture out with a dry towel and lay the knit flat to dry instead of hanging.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
