What we would tell you in the studio
- V-neck and placket. The front plunges into a steady V-neckline framed by a flat-knitted placket. Engraved buttons fasten cleanly from the chest down to the straight lower edge, keeping the front tidy when buttoned up.
- Short sleeve shape. We shaped the short sleeves with an easy armhole so the fabric sits clear of the underarm without tugging. It layers easily over bare skin, fine tank tops, or sleeveless summer dresses.
- Brushed knit texture. The yarn blend is treated with a light peached surface, giving the flat-knit fabric a soft, low-fuzz texture. It has enough stretch to recover its shape after hours of wear without bagging at the elbows or hem.
- Cold-water care. Wash this knit in cold water on a gentle cycle or by hand with a mild detergent. Reshape the body while damp and lay it flat on a drying rack out of direct sun to protect the surface.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
