What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crewneck and sleeve. A clean band finishes the round crewneck so it lies flat against the collarbone. The long sleeves fall straight to the wrist without tight banding, keeping the line relaxed.
  • Waist and pockets. The trousers pull on with an integrated drawstring at the waist to adjust the hold. Deep side pockets are set directly into the knit fabric so they sit flat when empty.
  • Knit drape and cut. The fabric has enough weight to hang straight down from the hip rather than cling. It gives you room through the chest and leg, moving easily across a day at home.
  • Washing and care. Wash the set together on a gentle cold cycle to keep the camel shade even across both pieces. Lay each piece flat on a towel to dry so the yarn holds its shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
