Women's 2 Piece Matching Lounge Sets

We knit this two-piece set as a matching pair so the top and trousers share the exact same yarn weight and greyapricot tone. The crewneck pullover hangs loose and falls to the hip, while the trousers rest on an adjustable drawstring waist. Deep side pockets keep the bottoms practical for daily wear.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Matching dye lot. We spin both pieces from the same batch to keep the greyapricot shade uniform across the top and trousers. The knit is light enough to move freely but holds enough substance to drape cleanly without clinging.
  • Crewneck and long sleeves. The pullover features a plain round crew neckline that sits flat against the collarbone. Full-length sleeves fall in a relaxed line from the shoulder, leaving room underneath for a base tee or tank on cooler mornings.
  • Trousers with pockets. The trousers cut straight down the leg and anchor at the waist with an adjustable drawstring cord. We inset functional pockets into the side seams, knitting them flat so they sit flush against the hips when empty.
  • Wash and care. Wash both pieces together on a gentle cycle in cold water to keep the greyapricot shade even across the set. Lay the knit flat on a towel to dry so the trousers and pullover retain their original shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
