Women's 2 Piece Matching Lounge Sets

We knit this two piece set in a balanced medium green yarn, matching the dye lot across the crew top and the trousers. The cut hangs clear of the torso and falls into a straight pant leg. Deep patch pockets sit at the sides, while the top rests near the hip.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew top and sleeves. The long sleeves run down to neat ribbing at each cuff to keep the shape close around the wrist. A round crewneck sits flat at the collarbone without pulling, leaving space for an undershirt beneath.
  • Trouser waist and pockets. The pants use an integrated knit waistband with an adjustable cord to secure the rise. Side pockets are stitched into the seams to hold daily items flat against the hip without sagging the leg.
  • Drape and yarn feel. This gauge produces a smooth surface that moves freely and stays quiet as you walk. The knit carries enough weight to hold a vertical line from the waistband straight down to the shoe line.
  • Washing and shape care. Wash this set in cool water on a gentle cycle, using a mesh bag to protect the knit loops. Reshape both pieces by hand and dry them flat on a towel away from direct sun.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
