What we would tell you in the studio
- Shawl collar build. The collar folds back into a flat lapel that extends down the open front. It gives the neckline structure without buttons, hooks, or extra hardware pulling at the yarn.
- Dense viscose yarn. We use a smooth viscose blend with natural crosswise give and a soft surface hand. The knit holds enough body to maintain clean coat lines while moving freely with you.
- Deep patch pockets. Two open pockets sit flat on the lower panels. They are knit directly into the front structure to carry daily items without stretching the garment out of square.
- Washing and care. Hand wash in cold water using a gentle knit detergent and press out excess moisture with a towel. Lay the coat flat on a drying rack so the heavy hem does not pull downward.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
