What we would tell you in the studio

  • Buttoned V-neck top. The top is shaped with a clean V-neck and finished with a neat row of buttons down the front. It falls straight through the torso without clinging, landing right around the hip line.
  • Drawstring knit trousers. The matching trousers feature a wide elastic waistband threaded with an adjustable drawstring. We added two functional side pockets and cut the legs straight to the ankle for easy movement.
  • Drape and yarn feel. Knitted from a smooth yarn blend with built-in stretch, the fabric holds a soft hand with a gentle drape. It provides lightweight coverage through cooler days without feeling bulky or stiff.
  • Laundering and care. Wash both pieces together on a gentle cold cycle with like dark tones to preserve the deep blue shade. Lay the knit flat on a towel to dry so the seams and waist stay true.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
