What we would tell you in the studio
- Wide leg cut. The legs are cut wide from the hip down, giving the woven fabric enough room to drape straight without clinging to the knee or calf.
- Waist construction. We paired a front zipper with a flexible elastic back band so the waist stays secure while sitting high and flat against the midsection.
- Pocket placement. Two deep side pockets are built into the side seams, deep enough to hold keys or a phone without breaking the line of the trousers.
- Washing and care. Machine wash in cold water using a laundry bag to protect the finish. Tumble dry on low or hang the trousers to keep the fabric smooth.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
