Women 2 Piece Sweater Matching Lounge Sets

We knit this two piece lounge set in a soft apricot yarn, matching the dye lot across both pieces. The top features a high neck and short sleeves, hanging loose away from the torso down to the hip. Paired with coordinating knit trousers, the gauge stays medium weight and soft against bare skin.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • High neck construction. A sturdy mock neckline frames the top, holding its shape without feeling stiff. It sits close around the base of the throat while the body of the knit falls freely below.
  • Roomy proportions. We cut the top and bottoms with plenty of ease. The fabric hangs straight down rather than pulling in at the waist, giving you space through the torso and legs during long wear.
  • Apricot yarn finish. Knitted in a warm apricot shade with a soft surface hand. Both garments come from the same batch to keep the tone and texture completely uniform across the entire set.
  • Laundering and care. Hand wash in cool water with a gentle knitwear detergent, or dry clean. Squeeze out excess moisture in a clean towel and lay both pieces flat on a drying rack.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
