Women 2 Piece Sweater Matching Lounge Sets

We knit this two-piece set in a cotton-acrylic yarn with a speckled black dot pattern against coffee brown. The top has a raised neckline and short sleeves, hanging away from the torso down toward the hip. Knitted together as a pair, both pieces share the same yarn gauge and weight.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • High neck and cut. The mock neck stands upright without squeezing the throat, while the body of the top falls straight and wide. This extra ease keeps the fabric hanging cleanly away from the skin.
  • Yarn hand and pattern. We blend cotton and acrylic to create a soft, midweight yarn with a steady hand. The black flecks are spun directly through the coffee ground for a consistent heathered texture.
  • Matching bottoms. The trousers are knitted to match the top in weight and stretch. They pull on with a flexible waistband and taper slightly as they travel down to the ankle hem.
  • Care and laundering. Hand wash this set in cold water or dry clean it to protect the knit structure. Press excess moisture out in a towel and dry both garments flat on a rack.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
