Women 2 Piece Sweater Matching Lounge Sets

We knit this two piece set in a rich dark coffee tone, matching the yarn across both pieces for an even color. The top is cut with a high neckline and short sleeves, hanging away from the torso down toward the hip. It pairs with matching knit pants that taper slightly through the leg.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • High neck construction. The collar sits close around the base of the throat without pinching. Ribbing along the mock neck holds its upright shape through hours of wear, keeping drafts off your collarbone while leaving your arms free under the short sleeves.
  • Knit in one batch. We spin and dye the cotton and acrylic blend in single batches so the top and bottoms share the exact same weight and dark coffee tone. The knit feels soft against bare skin and holds enough heft to hang straight.
  • Roomy straight cut. The body of the top drops cleanly from the shoulders with extra room through the chest and waist. The fabric hangs away from the midsection, ending in a clean hem that lands around the hips.
  • Care and maintenance. Wash this set by hand in cool water or use a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Press the water out between towels rather than wringing the yarn, then lay both pieces flat to dry to preserve their shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
