What we would tell you in the studio
- Shaped neckline. The top is finished with a neat neck band that lies flat against the collarbone. It gives structure to the lightweight knit without pulling tight.
- Matching shorts. We knit the shorts with an adjustable drawstring waistband and deep side pockets. The cut sits loose through the leg to allow easy movement.
- Teal yarn blend. The yarn blends fine synthetic fibres with stretch for reliable shape recovery. It feels cool against bare skin and holds its teal depth through regular laundry.
- Care and washing. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colours. We suggest laying both pieces flat to dry to keep the waistline and hems in shape.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
