What we would tell you in the studio

  • Close stretch knit. We use a lightweight, synthetic-blend yarn with high elasticity. The fine knit sits snug across the frame and rebounds into shape after a day of wear.
  • Shoulders and neckline. The top finishes with slim straps and a plain round crew line. It stays flat against the chest and layers cleanly beneath open knits or unbuttoned overshirts.
  • Short hem finish. The hem lands high on the thigh with a simple turned edge. It stays anchored through the hips rather than riding up as you walk.
  • Washing and care. Wash on a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag alongside light colours. Lay it flat across a drying rack so the straps and body hold their original proportions.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
