Wide Leg Dress Work Pants Womens Trousers Slacks Pantalones Mujer

We cut these wide leg trousers with front pleating and a high paperbag waist. The back waist is elasticated so the band rests flat without pulling tight. Walnut brown gives the deep leg room to catch light along the pleats. Side pockets sit deep along the side seams.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Paperbag waist design. The top edge gathers into a clean paperbag ruffle. An elastic panel across the back keeps the band anchored, while the removable matching belt ties flat at the front loops.
  • Front pleats and leg drape. Deep front pleats direct the line straight down through the wide leg. The fabric holds its press and hangs loose away from the thigh, falling straight to the lower hem.
  • Pocket construction. Two side pockets sit flush inside the side seams. They stay flat against the hip when empty and do not break the line of the front pleats during wear.
  • Wash and care steps. Machine wash cold inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the belt loops and pleating. Lay the trousers flat to dry or run on low tumble, avoiding bleach.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
