What we would tell you in the studio

  • Top and trouser cut. The top falls straight to the hip without clinging, while the trousers drop from a gathered waist into a wide leg. Both pieces share the same knit gauge and dye lot.
  • Crewneck and long sleeve. A simple ribbed crewneck sits flat at the base of the neck. The long sleeves follow the arm down to a clean finished wrist that stays put when pushed up.
  • Adjustable knit waistband. The trousers feature a wide elastic waistband threaded with a matching knit drawstring. It sits high on the waist, holding the weight of the wide legs securely.
  • Launder and shape care. Machine wash the set on a gentle cycle in cold water, or dry clean it. Reshape the pieces while damp and dry them flat on a towel to preserve the stitch structure.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
