What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crewneck and dropped armholes. The round neckline sits flat against the collarbone with narrow ribbed binding. Wide batwing sleeves slope down from dropped shoulders, giving the top plenty of room across the chest before tapering slightly at the wrists.
  • Wide knit trousers. We built the trousers with a soft elasticated waistband that stays in place without hardware. The knit runs straight down into a wide leg opening, creating a clean line from hip to hem.
  • Striped colourway. The Striped Black 02 pattern alternates dark and light bands across the torso, sleeves, and trousers. Knitting each set as a pair keeps the stripe widths consistent across both garments.
  • Washing and shape care. Hand wash the set in cool water or use a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Press the water out gently with a towel and lay both pieces flat to dry so the knit does not stretch out of shape.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
