What we would tell you in the studio
- Quarter zip collar. A high neck unzips into a broad collar that rests flat across the chest. Pulled shut, the ribbing stands upright to keep drafts off the neck without constricting.
- Roomy ribbed body. Vertical rib columns run the full length of the piece, giving the knit lateral give while keeping its straight fall. The cut stays wide through the torso and lands at the lower hip.
- Dropped sleeve line. The shoulder seam drops well past the natural shoulder, creating a relaxed sleeve with extra space under the arm. Fitted cuffs hold the lower sleeve securely in place.
- Washing and drying. Hand wash in cold water or dry clean to protect the yarn bounce and hardware. Press excess water into a towel and dry flat on a rack away from direct heat.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
