We knit this high collar sweater with a clean quarter zipper and dropped shoulders. The body hangs straight and loose away from the waist, ending near the hip. Ribbed stitchwork gives the knit substantial horizontal give while keeping a soft, steady drape against the skin.

What we would tell you in the studio
- Quarter zip neck. The high collar zips open to sit wide across the collarbone or closes right up to the chin for wind protection. Metal hardware runs smooth against the rib.
- Roomy body cut. We shaped the torso with low armholes and an open straight cut. The fabric falls clear of the waistline without bunching or clinging as you sit and move.
- Striped ribbed knit. A blend of viscose, polyester, and nylon gives the ribbed gauge elasticity and a soft hand. Contrast stripe details sit directly into the knit structure across the nutmeg yarn.
- Gentle wash care. Hand wash cold or use a dry clean cycle to keep the neck and zipper flat. Lay the knit flat on a towel away from direct heat to dry.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
