What we would tell you in the studio
- Roomy cropped cut. The body is cut wide and hangs away from the torso down to a shorter hemline. This shape works well over high-rise trousers, sitting clear of the waistband without bunching.
- Crew neckline and sleeves. A plain round neck finishes the collar, framed by wide short sleeves that fall loosely off the shoulders. The open sleeve cut allows plenty of air movement through the armholes.
- Smooth winered knit. The deep red knit is soft to the touch with gentle give across the shoulders and chest. It holds its rich dye evenly and maintains its shape as you move through the day.
- Washing and care. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle to protect the yarn structure. Lay the top flat to dry so the cropped hem and wide sleeves keep their original proportions.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
