Women Lounge Two 2 Piece Matching Set Fall

We knit this two-piece set as a single dye lot in a warm caramel shade. The top features a half-high mock neck and long sleeves with a hem that rests at the hip, while the matching trousers fall straight through the leg with an adjustable drawcord waist and inset side pockets. Both pieces are knitted from a soft, fine yarn that keeps its shape across hours of wear.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Half-high collar. The neck rises into a clean half-high band that stays upright without folding over or pulling tight. It gives the top enough structure to layer under heavy winter wools while sitting soft against the throat.
  • Sleeve and hem balance. Long sleeves run straight to the wrist, mirroring the relaxed cut of the body. The hem lands at the natural hip line, providing enough coverage to wear untucked over the matching wide-leg trousers.
  • Trouser waist and pockets. We built the trousers with a wide elasticated waistband and an adjustable drawcord to anchor the rise. Deep side pockets sit flat along the seams, keeping the line smooth from waist to hem.
  • Machine wash care. Turn both pieces inside out and place them in a mesh laundry bag. Wash on a gentle cold cycle and tumble dry on low, or lay the knit flat on a towel to preserve the stitch structure.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
