What we would tell you in the studio
- Upright collar line. The collar stands close around the base of the neck without turning over. It holds its shape through the day, resting gently against bare skin while keeping cold drafts out.
- Deep vented hem. The lower edge drops well past the knees. We cut wide splits into the side seams, which lets the heavy hem swing freely over leggings or jeans as you move.
- Full straight sleeves. The sleeves start from a dropped shoulder line and run straight to the wrist. Soft ribbing finishes each cuff to keep the extra length settled over the hand.
- Washing and drying. Hand wash in cold water or use a gentle cycle inside a mesh bag. Lay the knit flat on a towel to dry so the heavy, wet yarn does not stretch out.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
