What we would tell you in the studio
- Thick fuzzy yarn. A wool blend yarn gives the surface a soft, brushed pile that gains softness after its first wash. It provides genuine thickness and warmth without feeling stiff across the shoulders.
- Extended straight hem. The body falls straight and loose, landing well below the knee toward the ankle. Because the cut is generous, the heavy knit drops with clean, vertical lines rather than clinging.
- Ribbed crew neck. A neat band of ribbing finishes the round neckline, sitting flat against the collarbone. It gives structure to the top of an otherwise broad and slouchy body.
- Care and wash. Hand wash cold or run on a gentle cycle, then reshape and dry flat. Avoid the dryer and hanging while wet so the heavy hem does not pull the shoulders out of shape.
