What we would tell you in the studio
- Fuzzy heavy gauge knit. The yarn blend includes wool for warmth and has a brushed surface that softens further after the first wash. It creates a dense fabric that keeps out drafts during cold months.
- Long straight cut. The hem falls below the knee or near the ankle depending on your height. Because the cut is wide throughout, it falls in straight lines rather than clinging anywhere along the torso or legs.
- Crew neck and ribbed edges. We finished the rounded neckline with a firm band of ribbing that rests flat against the collarbone. Matching rib at the cuffs keeps the long sleeves gathered neatly at your wrists.
- Laundering and drying. Wash this piece in cold water on a gentle cycle, or wash it by hand to keep the fuzzy surface intact. Always dry it flat on a towel so the heavy wet yarn does not stretch.
