What we would tell you in the studio
- Open crochet stitch. We work this piece in an openwork crochet gauge using a cotton-rich yarn blend. The grid-like structure lets air move freely through the fabric, keeping the feel light and dry against bare skin.
- Adjustable tie front. Two knitted ties secure the deep V-neckline down the front. You can knot them loose to leave the front open or draw them snug to bring the front panels closer together over a bralette or tank.
- Cut and drape. The body is cut straight and roomy, hanging away from the torso rather than pulling tight. Wide armholes give your shoulders plenty of room to move without tugging at the side seams.
- Cold water care. Hand wash in cold water using a mild wool wash or gentle detergent. Press the excess water out in a clean towel rather than wringing the open stitches, then dry flat on a rack.
