What we would tell you in the studio
- Open crochet knit. The open-stitch pattern creates a light, grid-like texture across the entire body. It keeps the vest airy while giving the white and black yarn clear graphic definition.
- Tie front closure. Thin knitted ties secure the deep V-neckline down the front. You can knot them close or leave them loose to change how open the piece sits over your base layer.
- Sleeveless cut. Clean selvedge edges finish the armholes without heavy binding. The cut sits wide enough across the shoulder to stay in place without pulling at the underarm.
- Washing and drying. Hand wash in cold water to protect the open stitch from snagging. Press out excess water with a towel and lay the vest flat on a drying rack so the ties and hem keep their shape.
