What we would tell you in the studio
- Open crochet stitch. The loose stitch pattern creates a lattice structure across the body. Air moves through the spaces freely, while the cotton blend holds the geometric shape of each square.
- Tie front closure. Narrow knit ties fasten the open front along the v-neckline. You can knot them loose to let the panels spread, or pull them close for a centered drape.
- Armholes and neckline. Wide armholes drop clean from the shoulder seam without ribbing. The sleeveless cut layers over swimwear, bandeau tops, or a thin tank without bunching underneath.
- Care and drying. Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent. Press excess water out between towels rather than wringing, then dry the vest flat so the open stitch keeps its square shape.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
