What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew neckline and front. The collar sits as a close round neck with a flat knitted border. It stays neat when worn open and keeps its shape without pulling back against the throat.
  • Longline cut and hem. The body drops straight and loose down to the lower calf. That extra length adds weight to the lower edge, giving the knit a steady vertical fall as you walk.
  • Long sleeves with cuffs. We knit the sleeves with room through the arm before narrowing at the wrists. The knitted cuffs hold their position if you push them up the forearm.
  • Washing and flat drying. Wash on a gentle, low-temperature cycle with mild detergent and skip the bleach. Reshape the damp cardigan by hand and lay it flat on a dry towel to dry.
