What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew neck shape. The round neckline sits flat and high against the collarbone. It works well over basic crew t-shirts, light button-down shirts, or open tank tops.
  • Long straight cut. The knit hangs away from the waist and drops down toward the lower leg. Side pockets are knitted flat into the body to keep the line clean.
  • Lightweight yarn. We use a fine-gauge knit that stays smooth to the touch and moves easily. It provides a light layer over everyday clothes without feeling stiff or heavy.
  • Wash and care. Wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and avoid bleach. Lay the cardigan flat on a towel to dry so the long hem holds its shape.

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
