What we would tell you in the studio
- Open cut and pockets. An open front lets this piece slide on over tees and shirts without buttons catching. Two deep patch pockets sit at the front to hold small items.
- Dropped sleeve profile. The shoulder line drops low on the arm to create extra room through the upper sleeve. Wide ribbed cuffs pull the knit back in at your wrists.
- Cocoa brown yarn. We use a soft, medium-weight yarn dyed in deep cocoa brown. The knit feels smooth against bare skin and holds its shape through regular wear.
- Care and shape. Hand wash this cardigan in cool water or dry clean it. Press water out gently with a towel and lay it flat to dry so the knit does not stretch.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
