What we would tell you in the studio
- Open front cut. The body stays wide and unstructured through the torso. It hangs clean over thin knit tops, button downs, or simple tees without bunching at the underarms.
- Sleeve and cuff rib. Dropped shoulders lead into long, wide sleeves. A band of ribbing at the cuff gathers the extra fabric so it stays put when pushed up your forearms.
- Deep patch pockets. Two wide pockets are knitted directly onto the lower panels. They sit flat against the knit when empty and carry small everyday items without dragging the hem down.
- Yarn care. Hand wash in cool water with mild detergent or use dry cleaning. Press out extra water with a clean towel and dry flat on a rack so the knit does not stretch.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
