What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck and buttons. The plain round crew neck finishes with a narrow knit edge. Matching grey buttons run the full length of the front placket, closing the knit cleanly up to the collarbone or leaving it open to layer.
- Cut and drape. Dropped shoulders set the sleeves low on the upper arm, giving the body extra ease through the chest. The knit hangs away from the torso rather than clinging, settling naturally at the top of the hip.
- Medium gauge knit. We chose a balanced yarn weight that holds its shape without bulk. The grey knit feels soft to the touch, providing a light layer over dresses or under heavy winter jackets when temperatures drop.
- Care for the yarn. Wash this knit by hand in cool water or use a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Press the water out gently with a towel and lay the garment flat to dry so the body retains its shape.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.

- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
