What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck closure. The plain round crew neckline sits flat against the collarbone when fully buttoned. Left undone, the front placket falls open evenly without pulling back over the shoulders.
- Body and drape. We shaped this piece with a generous, loose body that leaves space for base layers underneath. The medium gauge gives the knit enough heft to hang straight down rather than cling.
- Banded rib hem. The lower edge finishes around the upper hip with a neat knit band. It keeps its shape through a full day of wear instead of rolling or stretching out at the corners.
- Cold water care. Hand wash this cardigan in cold water using a mild wool or knit detergent. Squeeze out excess water gently in a clean towel, then lay it flat on a drying rack.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
