What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck closure. A flat round crew neck sits close to the collarbone. Buttoned all the way up, it wears like a knit top, or you can unfasten the front placket to layer over light tees.
- Sleeve and shoulder line. Dropped shoulder seams let the fabric drape softly over the upper arm. The short sleeves keep your wrists clear and fit easily under heavier coats when the weather cools down.
- Hem and hip length. The straight hem lands right around the waistband and the top of the hips. It stays level all the way around without pulling tight against your waistline.
- Cold water wash care. Wash this knit by hand in cold water to keep the deep burgundy yarn rich and uniform. Squeeze out excess moisture in a towel and dry it flat on a clean rack.
