What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck and front buttons. The collar sits close as a traditional round crew. Matched buttons run the length of the front placket, allowing you to fasten it completely or wear the front open over a tank.
- Relaxed cut and hip length. The body hangs away from the waist rather than hugging it. The lower hem settles right at the hip line, giving you coverage that stays level whether worn open or closed.
- Smooth midweight gauge. We chose a compact, even stitch that provides moderate warmth without bulk. The yarn has a soft, supple hand that slips easily under heavier coats when temperatures drop.
- Care and washing. Hand wash this knit in cool water to protect the yarn surface and shape. Squeeze out excess moisture without wringing, then lay the piece flat on a towel away from direct heat.
Living with this one

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
