What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck and buttons. The plain round neckline sits close to the collarbone without pulling. Matched buttons run the full length of the front placket, allowing you to wear the knit closed as a top or parted as a light layer.
- Dropped shoulder line. We dropped the shoulder seam to create extra room through the upper body. The knit hangs away from the torso, giving the fabric space to move naturally without bunching when you reach or sit.
- Camel yarn hand. The medium-weight knit has a smooth, soft surface that feels gentle against bare skin. It holds enough body to maintain its shape along the placket while staying light enough to layer under heavier coats.
- Care for the knit. Hand wash the cardigan in cold water using a mild wool soap. Press the excess water out in a clean towel without wringing, then reshape the body and lay it flat to dry on a level surface.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
