What we would tell you in the studio
- Crew neck closure. A close round band sits flat against the collarbone. The button placket runs straight down the front, giving you the choice to button it fully or let the panels hang open.
- Shoulder and sleeve line. Dropped shoulder seams move the armhole lower down the torso. This gives the upper body extra room through the chest so the knit does not bunch over a base layer.
- Hip landing hem. The hem sits at the top of the hip. Ribbing at the bottom edge gives the sweater a clean finish that holds its shape instead of curling after hours of sitting.
- Washing and drying. Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent. Press the excess water out with a flat towel rather than wringing, then dry flat away from direct heat to preserve the yarn hand.

- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
