What we would tell you in the studio
- Medium weight red yarn. The red yarn is spun for a soft, smooth surface that stays light while providing reliable coverage. It holds its stitch definition through the body without stiffening.
- Crew neck and front placket. A round crew neck leads into a dyed-to-match front button placket. You can fasten it fully as a standalone top or leave it unbuttoned over a base layer.
- Drop shoulder cut. We built the shoulders with a low drop seam, giving the sleeves a relaxed hang. The body stays loose through the torso so it does not pull across the back.
- Cold water washing. Hand wash this knit in cold water to keep the red shade true and protect the shape of the placket. Press out excess water between towels and dry flat.
Living with this one
Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
