What we would tell you in the studio
- High neck construction. The collar sits close around the neck to keep the draft out. It holds its upright shape through a full day of wear without feeling tight against the throat.
- Roomy straight cut. We gave the body extra width so the fabric drops straight down from the shoulders. The hem clears the waist and sits lower around the hip line.
- Smooth blended yarn. The knit has a soft, cool hand that rests easy over a bare arm or a light base layer. It has enough density to hold its drape without feeling bulky.
- Cold water care. Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water with mild soap, or wash by hand in a basin. Lay the sweater flat on a towel to dry so the knit does not stretch.

Do
- Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
- Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
- Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
- Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.
Skip
- Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
- The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
- Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
- Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
