Lounge Sets Womens Two 2 Piece Matching

We knit this two-piece set in a soft butter yellow yarn that holds its shape while hanging loose. The crew neck sweater cut runs roomy through the body with dropped raglan sleeves and side slits at the hip hem. Down below, the wide-leg pants pull on with a flexible elastic waistband.

What we would tell you in the studio

  • Crew neck and buttons. A plain round crew neck finishes the top, sitting flat against the collarbone. Small buttons run down the front, giving you room to adjust the opening depending on what you wear underneath.
  • Raglan sleeves and hem. Long raglan sleeves fall from a low shoulder line to keep the arms easy. Slits at the side hem let the sweater clear the hips without catching or bunching over the trousers.
  • Wide leg knit trousers. The matching trousers are knitted with a high rise and an elastic waistband that sits flat without drawstrings. The wide legs drop straight down to the floor for a relaxed drape.
  • Cold water care. Wash this knit in cold water on a gentle cycle, or wash it by hand with mild soap. Press out excess water without wringing, then lay both pieces flat on a towel to dry.

Living with this one

Do

  • Wash cold and on the gentle cycle, or by hand if the yarn feels loose.
  • Dry it flat, in shape, away from the radiator.
  • Fold it on the shelf rather than hanging it by the shoulders.
  • Measure a jumper you already like and compare it before you settle on a size.

Skip

  • Bleach and fabric softener, both of them flatten the surface.
  • The hot tumble dryer, which is how knit becomes one size smaller.
  • Hangers with thin shoulders, they leave two points that never come out.
  • Ironing directly on the face of the knit.
